Smoke in apartment after appliance outlet failure

As discussed during the dispatch call, fire crews responded to an apparent appliance-related incident in a bedroom at an apartment on Southeast Delaware Avenue, where a filter or coil outlet reportedly exploded. There were no visible flames, but the room filled with smoke and hissing and popping were heard.
