Report of man with gun inside liquor store

Police received a report of a man with a gun inside a liquor store near Wentworth in Chicago. The man was described as wearing a navy blue and orange letterman jacket, a black mask, black pants and shoes, and carrying a gray backpack. Officers went to the liquor store, which is across from a gas station, and were warned that a woman leaving the store might alert the man if she saw the police approaching. Radio traffic noted that the gun was believed to be in the man’s right jacket pocket and that he might hand it to someone else. Multiple squads arrived on scene, but no weapon was recovered. The radio audio also included an unrelated call about a mental health disturbance and a separate records check for a person’s driver license and prior violations.
