Attempted home break-in and rifle found in ditch

As discussed during the dispatch call, a caller near Flat Top Road in Cool Ridge reported a possible attempted home invasion that occurred early in the morning. The resident later found a rifle in a roadside ditch, and the suspected intruder, described as a slender male dressed in black, reportedly ran northbound along Route 19. Law enforcement was requested to respond and recover the firearm.
