Small fire on train tracks near Fairfield businesses

As discussed during the dispatch call, dispatchers reported a possible fire on the railroad tracks near a business area on Skowhegan Road in Fairfield, close to Kennebec Equipment Rental and a nearby restaurant. Fairfield fire crews were unavailable, so Waterville Fire was sent. The fire on the tracks near Hinckley was later reported extinguished, and units returned to handle another call on Main Street in Canaan.
A separate call from Benton involved a verbal dispute where a man reportedly refused to leave a residence after asking for money, then left on foot toward Fairfield. No assault, weapons, or paperwork were reported.
