Lightning-linked house fire damages deck and siding

As discussed during the dispatch call, fire crews responded to a possible lightning-related house fire near Spring Lake Road in Forest, Virginia. Light smoke was found in the attic, and the fire was knocked down with damage limited to the back deck and vinyl siding. All occupants were out of the residence, and units checked for any remaining fire spread and secured a gas line under the deck.
