I drive that area almost every day. Nine out of 10 of these brilliant college students do not look when they’re crossing the street. They have their music in their ears, their faces in their phones. I am personally shocked that an accident like this doesn’t happen multiple times a day. Instead of the city spending several million dollars for a bridge they need to spend 20 minutes in orientation each year own looking both ways before you stepped into traffic. I don’t know how many times I’ve slam don’t breaks to keep from hitting one of these overeducated students.
