Unconscious diabetic possibly intoxicated at home

As discussed during the dispatch call, emergency medical and fire units were dispatched to a home near Silver Tree Lane in Lake Lure for a report of a person who was unconscious and highly intoxicated. Radio traffic indicated the patient is a type 1 diabetic, and responders were unsure whether the condition was related to diabetes or intoxication. The caller later reported uncertainty about whether the patient was breathing and said the person was in a basement area against a bedroom door and difficult to reach.
