Shoplifting attempt at Mt Pleasant Walmart

As discussed during the dispatch call, officers were sent to a store near Encore Drive in Mt Pleasant for a possible shoplifting. A male reportedly tried to steal items, then left them and a backpack when confronted. He then got into a white SUV parked in a nearby row while a caller watched and reported his actions.
