Car hits guardrail on I-495 in Merrimac

As discussed during the dispatch call, emergency crews responded to a reported single-car crash on the northbound side of the interstate near mile marker 117.2 in the Merrimac area. Radio traffic indicates the car apparently struck a guardrail, airbags deployed, and the vehicle was first reported in a travel lane. Later reports suggest the occupant may have exited the vehicle without obvious injuries. Responders requested additional mutual aid support to the scene as a precaution.
