Multiple callers reported fire in one apartment and smoke in others, with people reported trapped in several units. There were specific reports of a person at a window, children trapped on the first floor, and a disabled resident in an upper-floor apartment. Additional fire units and a rescue company were assigned due to the number and seriousness of the calls, and the incident was declared a working fire in a fire-resistant multiple dwelling.
