My brother goes to that school, as did i a few years ago. Super great school. When my mom called today, for work, an hour away, it was to tell me that Hanson was on lockdown. An hour later, they were being evacuated. I was scared, worried about my little brother, how scared he must be, and the other kids too. Also the teachers and staff. But once they were done evacuating to a different campus, we were told why happened in the first place. About a guy who had his shotgun in hand on his pretty which happens to be near, or outside the campus. No shooting threats or anything, though. For three hours i was at home babysitting my little sister with my grandma, feeling so helpless while my little brother was going through Lord knows what. I wish they could’ve at least disclosed what the issue was early on so all the parents and families of the children that go to Hanson were aware of their children’s safety, not terrified of what could possibly make the entire school evacuate

I just feel like they blew it out of proportion a bit. But in the end I’m just grateful to have my little brother safe at him in bed and everyone else is okay
