Alarm and smoke reported at downtown parking garage

As discussed during the dispatch call, fire crews responded to a report of possible smoke and an active alarm at a parking garage near East Canal Street in Richmond. Units coordinated with building security to gain access to the parking deck and fire panel. Initial checks of the top level of the parking garage found no visible smoke or fire, and the building alarm panels appeared clear. Some crews were released while a smaller group remained on scene working with security to reach a key holder and fully confirm conditions in the garage.
