Grass fire spreads into church ceiling

As discussed during the dispatch call, fire crews responded to a possible grass fire that spread into part of a church building on South Chicago Street in Royal Center. A firefighter on scene reported that church members had been burning weeds outside when the fire got out of control and extended into the ceiling area. The fire was reported to be partially extinguished and smoking when responders were dispatched.
