The house belongs to a friend of mine. An acquaintance of his was visiting and gathering belongings in the back yard. He had put some random scraps in the burn barrel, lit it on fire and ultimately, apparently, fell asleep. Obviously the fire got burning to high and caught nearby wood scraps and other flammables afire and spread to a rear deck and ultimately to the house itself. The owner was asleep in the house and was awakened by snapping and popping of the interior on fire. The fire department was notified and thank God the owner, being the sole occupant, was luckily able to escape to safety. Many personal and memorable, irreplaceable items were lost........ I ask that you pray for my friend Steve in his time of loss and sorrow this holiday season. thank you.
