Fire Response to Smoke from Shipping Container at Sympeth Corporation, Portland

Summary: Portland Fire units, including Engine 22, Engine 26, Truck 22, and others, responded to reports of smoke coming from a shipping container at Sympeth Corporation, 9045 Northland Boulevard, Portland, Oregon. Initial reports indicated smoke visible from the east or back side of the building. Upon arrival, crews found smoke coming from a shipping container not up against the building. Firefighters investigated, forced entry into the container, and performed fire attack operations. The incident was contained without extension to the building, and a recall was issued for Box 2203. No injuries or major property damage were reported.
