False alarm at home on Route 9N in Westport

As discussed during the dispatch call, fire crews were sent to a residence on Route 9N near Port Henry for a reported fire alarm on the first floor hallway. Responding units later reported that the homeowner had been working on the alarm and that there was no actual emergency. During the same radio traffic, law enforcement were assigned to check the welfare of an elderly woman at a home on Cold Brook Road in Vermontville after medical staff could not reach her, and separate units were advised to watch for a red Porsche reportedly speeding on State Route 73 near Keene Valley.
