Unpaid hotel room with belongings left behind

Several days ago, someone that was renting a room there left the room with a large amount of stuff in it.

He never paid, but did return the key to the room.

At some point, this employee reached out to this party who stated that he would be by to pay the room at a later date and has since not been by to pay.
