Highway 610 is accident prone due to poor visibility from cars crossing route 50. How do I know this? I was involved in an accident at that very intersection in 2019. A car pulled out right in front of me as I was west toward Salisbury on route 50. The MD state highway patrolman who worked the crash told me that was one of the worst intersections in Worcester County. Since my accident, a flashing yellow light for route 50 travelers and a flashing red light for those cars on 610 crossing route 50 has been installed. This is what was left of my Subaru Forrester afterwards. Yes, a total loss and I survived with just minor injuries to my thumb. I was lucky!
